Welcome to Smoke on the Farm, a premier BBQ Competition and SCA Steak Cook-off held at The Mason Hills Farm in Grand Bay, AL. Our event, scheduled for October 11 - 12, 2024, brings together BBQ enthusiasts, top-notch chefs, and the local community for a weekend of fun, food, and friendly competition. We are inviting teams, vendors, and sponsors. The event will open to the public Friday, October 11, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. and Saturday, October 12, 2024, 10:00 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Our Mission

Piggly Wiggly and Mason Hills Farm came together to create the first Smoke on the Farm, which is dedicated to supporting our Gulf Coast community and promoting local businesses while helping our friends at Victory Health Partners. By participating in this event, you are contributing to a greater cause—ensuring that low-to-moderate-income uninsured adults receive the compassionate, affordable, and comprehensive healthcare they need.

Additional Information

- The entry fee covers participation in your choice, one or all, of the People’s Choice Competitions and the Judged Competition.

- The entry fee does not include tents, water, or power.

- Registered teams can purchase event meat and supplies with a 10% discount from Mobile and Baldwin County Piggly Wiggly stores. A minimum purchase of $100 is required to use the 10% Smoke on the Farm Team Coupon. Proof of registration must be shown to the store manager.

- Additional Pork Butts and Herschel burgers will be available on-site for purchase.

- Each team should prepare at least 200 samples per category. For a competitive edge, more samples could equal more votes!

- Teams are welcome and encouraged to sell and promote their products, such as spices and sauces, during the competition.

- Priority placement for the 2025 Cook-off will be given to participants of this inaugural year.
